cGVHD is a serious complication of allogeneic stem cell transplantation procedures where transplanted immune cells (graft) attack the patient's cells (host), leading to inflammation and fibrosis in multiple tissues, resulting in significant morbidity and mortality. cGVHD is a concern for people with blood cancer because bone marrow and stem cell transplantation are part of the standard treatments for blood cancers. Patients with cGVHD have been dealt a tough hand. They are struggling with both the pain and fatigue caused by cGVHD as well as the frustrations brought about by failure on previous treatment and lack of clear options going forward. This unbranded campaign supports the upcoming launch of Rezurock in Canada by building awareness of cGVHD as a disease state and the unique challenges on what will be a life-long chronic condition.
