It’s a shame that ancient boreal forests in Canada and abroad are being exploited for products such as toilet paper when such a product is easily manufactured from recycled materials. Sure, many toilet paper companies claim their products are made from recycled paper. Unfortunately, it’s the cardboard tube they’re usually referring to. As a matter of fact, so many ancient trees are cut down for such a trivial cause that it would equal about 45 pounds of forest for each person in Canada. Greenpeace asked us to communicate these facts in such a way that the message hits home. Our solution was to dramatize the information by showing both the wastefulness and the burdon of not buying recycled products.
